FIBRE CEMENT

Eurosix reinforced is the sound alternative reinforced fibre cement sheet available in the UK.
It passes the current standard for fragility (SIR 30) and will meet the requirement of the HSG 33 Health and Safety Roof Work Manual.

This method of reinforcing has been proven and used successfully in other parts of Europe over the last four years, where the requirement for a reinforced sheet became more apparent earlier than in the UK.

If you require fibre cement profile sheeting for durability, quality and strength, specify Eurosix reinforced.
The advantages of doing so are as follows:

Available in British 6-inch profile
• 30 years guarantee
• No maintenance requirements
• Passes necessary fire regulations (fire certificate available)
• Meets the requirements of BS EN 494, class C1X
• Manufactured for the UK quality control system BS EN ISO 9002
• Competitively priced (ask for details)
• Recognition of sheet easily identified over the period of its life (each sheet has manufacturer's production and date stamp indented into it)

SIL have developed a unique varnishing process for the fibre cement sheets. This means we can offer fully primed sheets in the range of attractive colours across the Euro 6 range, with no risk of delamination or degradation of the sheet.

Below are a few points to consider for your safety:
1. You must ensure that all purlins and frames are secure before work starts.
2. Secure all ladders and make safe any other access to the roof.
3. Always use crawling boards to repair or inspect old corrugated roofs.
4. Never walk across old corrugated sheeting.
5. Always wear sound rubber-soled shoes or boots (not wellingtons) and don't wear loose clothing.
6. Do not leave any loose material on the roof - you may know it's loose, other people may not.
7. Never carry heavy loads over sheets without crawling boards.
8. If you plan to walk regularly on your roof, you must supply properly constructed walkways.
